La Maison des Gaufres is located in the very heart of Brussels, opposite the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, in a magnificent 17th-century building. It has been meticulously renovated, retaining original features that preserve its old-world charm. Various decorative elements bring an Art Deco feel, which offers a light and elegant atmosphere to the visitors who flock there.
When you walk through the door of La Maison des Gaufres, you will see a gold décor, reminiscent of the colour of waffles: warm and bright. The tables, which are inlaid with crystal and 24-carat gold, were designed by Antoine Akayyan, and feature ears of wheat and oats, in homage to the creator’s history, a symbol of resilience and prosperity. Hanging on the walls, you will also see waffle irons from the past.
